Answering the call for those in need

As homelessness rises and service coordination gaps persist, faith leaders and community connectors are eager to act but need tools to do so effectively. Through its Housing & Homeless Services and Intersect divisions, Access Services has initiated a conversation with community and faith leaders to help amplify efforts and drive systems-level change for the unhoused. By empowering faith communities as catalysts for change, we hope to strengthen local capacity for coordinated, community-driven action.

Hope Rescue Mission

For 131 years, Hope Rescue Mission has been a place of refuge for people experiencing homelessness in Berks County. They provide meals, shelter, and support services for those in need in our community 365 days a year.

Square One Villages

SquareOne Villages creates democratic communities with homes that are permanently affordable and environmentally sustainable. Their work began in 2012 as a grassroots effort to create an alternative shelter model known as Opportunity Village. Since then, they've adopted a community land trust model and specialize in developing permanently affordable housing co-ops in Lane County, Oregon.
