Become a Respite Provider
In-Home Children’s Respite Provider
Our In-Home respite providers will give hourly respite services in a family’s home. This service comes alongside families in our community who has a child with emotional or behavioral challenges and need assistance. Your time together might include playing at a park, baking cookies, playing games, or sharing in some other activity that brings the child joy.
Providers of this service are paid by the hour and services are available in Montgomery, Lehigh, and Northampton counties.
Overnight Children’s Respite Provider
Our overnight respite providers welcome a child into their home for one or more nights. By welcoming in a child, you’re providing a safe and welcoming environment for a child struggling with emotional or behavioral challenges while giving the parents a much needed respite.
There is a stipend provided for providing this service. Overnight respite is provided in Montgomery, Lehigh, and Northampton counties.
Foster Care Respite Provider
As a Foster Care respite provider, you can come alongside our full-time foster parents and provide respite care for the children they serve for a weekend or a few days. This important break might allow for a parent to attend an out-of-state family event, or a few days of refreshment to allow them to continue pouring into these children every day.
There is a stipend provided for providing this service. Foster Care respite is provided in all counties in which we work.
Adult Respite Provider
Our adult respite providers come alongside our full-time lifesharing providers and welcome an adult with an intellectual disability into their home for a short time. This can be a great way to support other providers and get to know some of the amazing adults we serve. Learn more about them and enjoy activities together as you provide a safe place for them to stay: https://www.accessservices.org/services/adult-respite/.
There is a stipend provided for providing this service. Adult respite is provided in Schuylkill, Carbon, Monroe, Pike, Berks, Chester, Bucks, Delaware, Montgomery, Lehigh, and Northampton counties.
Becoming a respite provider is a great way to get started.

Become a Lifesharing Provider
A home to live and grow in
Lifesharing is a unique program that allows adults with intellectual disabilities to live with a provider and become a part of their lives and families.
Lifesharing providers open their homes, offer support and guidance to empower their individual to reach for and achieve their goals and aspirations.

Become a Foster Parent
Open your heart and home
Being a foster parent is a beautiful and difficult job. A job that will challenge you to see beyond the surface of trauma and neglect to see a child’s potential.
Becoming a foster parent is more than standing in the gap and providing a child or children with a safe, stable home for a time of family instability or longer. It is looking at the great number of children that need help and saying, “I can change that number, even if it is only one child.”
