Chesco LIFE Program - Access Services

Chesco LIFE will be closing its doors on December 31, 2023.

Over the coming weeks, we will actively work with our partners in Chester County and various agency providers to connect the youth and families we serve with support and alternate services.

How We Can Help

Chesco LIFE is a team of both experienced parents and professionals who work closely with families to offer invaluable support as well as provide information and referral resources. We are a free program to Chester County families with children up to age 21. Diagnosis and insurance is not required.

You don’t have to know what type of help you need to reach out. Our team will listen to your specific needs and guide you to the right support.

We provide support in 3 specific ways:

Family Support Specialists

Our Family Support Specialists are parents, who have a lived experience with their own children’s challenges. They understand how to help families navigate the child and adult serving systems. This is done in a supportive, parent-to-parent relationship. Bilingual support is available.

CYF Youth Mentor

Our CYF Youth Mentor has a lived experience with their own mental health journey, and mentor young persons going through similar challenges. The youth mentor will focus on empowering and educating the young person to advocate for themselves so they can thrive within their community. Eligibility requires CYF involvement.

CYF Mental Health Parent Mentor

Our CYF Mental Health Parent Mentor has both a lived experience with their own mental health journey and as a parent with their own children’s struggles. They are proficient in helping families navigate the child/adult serving systems. This is done in a supportive, parent-to-parent relationship for families who are open with CYF. The focus is on the well-being of the parents, caregivers, and family. Eligibility requires CYF involvement.

What Parents Are Saying

"Chesco Life has helped me with a lot of struggles I faced as a single parent to my son. It has helped me cope and find mental health providers and doctors. I would not have been able to handle it all on my own or stay calm and focused. The staff are wonderful, patient, kind and go above and beyond for their clients."
