The Bucks County LIFE Program (BCL) at Access Services serves Bucks County families who have a child or an adolescent experiencing emotional, behavioral, intellectual, social and/or learning challenges. From our office in Ivyland, we can help young people with emotional, behavioral, social, and/or learning issues. A team of parent support specialists come alongside of families to provide information, connection to community resources and the support they need to empower them to advocate for their child.

The Bucks County LIFE program provides families with opportunities to share common concerns about intellectual disabilities by offering one-to-one support, group and community activities, parent and professional workshops, and connection to services and community resources. In addition, the program works with local child-serving systems, and participates in various training, quality improvement projects and new initiatives. Bucks County LIFE seeks to support children and their families who are struggling with emotional, behavioral, intellectual, social, and/or learning challenges. One of the goals is to reduce unnecessary hospitalizations and out of home placements. This program is a community service aimed at keeping children in their homes and communities where they can grow, find acceptance, and successfully manage emotional, behavioral, social, learning and/or intellectual disability challenges in the Bucks County area.
