On average, there are 130 deaths by suicide per day in the U.S.

Everyone need the tools to be able to manage and support mental wellness in their everyday lives. But how many people are having these important conversations?

Hope 4 Tomorrow is an innovative program that helps individuals focus on the importance of their own health and wellness.

A variety of trainings and resources are available to the community to help present subjects like suicide prevention, crisis intervention, self-care and mental health in active ways that help empower individuals with the tools and skills needed to live successful lives.

1. Mental Health First Aid:

Identify, Understand & Respond

This 8-hour training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care.

2. QPR Training

Question. Persuade. Refer

This suicide prevention training is designed to teach you to recognize the warning signs of a potential suicide crisis, and then to further question, persuade, and then finally refer them to help. With this 2 ? 3 hour training, we strive to equip you with tools and education to reduce suicidal behaviors.

3. ASIST Training

Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training

ASIST is the most widely used suicide intervention training program in the world. This two-day intensive, interactive and practice-dominated course is designed to help caregivers learn how to intervene to prevent the immediate risk of suicide and provide safety-for-now. The workshop is designed for all caregivers (15+ years).

Innovative Student Assembly Program

This program helps youth focus on the importance of their own health and wellness. Students engage in interactive ways and can ask questions related to mental health in real time. The answers are used to have conversations and help the students develop strategies to help themselves and one another.

Conoce a Ty

Tyrone (Ty) Williams serves as the Crisis Community Liaison and Trainer at Access Services. In this role, Ty facilitates Hope 4 Tomorrow assemblies and supports the Mobile Crisis program at community events. Additionally, Ty provides Mental Health and Prevention trainings (Mental Health First Aid, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer)) at colleges, high schools and other organizations in Montgomery County, PA. Ty is a member of the Montgomery County Suicide Prevention Task Force and serves as Co-chairman of Access Services? Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee.

Ty?s professional journey started as a high school social studies teacher in a small town in North Carolina. After 3 years of being in the classroom, he was afforded the opportunity to begin studying at Lancaster Bible College (formerly Capital Bible Seminary). After completing his studies at LBC, Ty went on to spend the next 7 years serving as a leader in the church and para church community. Ty holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Professional History and a Masters of Arts Degree in Christian Counseling and Discipleship.
