Our Community Engagement Program provides training, ongoing support and equipped Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide 1 on 1 care to support individuals with intellectual disabilities to build community. It means having meaningful relationships, participating in activities, making choices, and being included in everyday life. This connection helps people achieve greater independence, dignity, and life satisfaction.
Our DSPs help the individuals we serve to set personal goals and learn the skills to build community. In doing so, we seek to improve each person’s quality of life. Our Community Engagement Supports program is intended to encourage personal growth and teach each individual to become active members of their communities.

¿Cómo te unes?
Individuals are referred to the Community Engagement Supports program through the Office of Development Programs in your county. If you are interested in Community Participation Supports, speak with your appointed Supports Coordinator about becoming involved. Community Participation Supports is funded through the Home and Community Based Services Waiver Program or through a private pay arrangement.
