Partnering together.

Our Starting Point program offers support to adults who have a chronic mental illness. Sometimes people need extra help to get back on their feet, find a place to live, and become a part of community life. Starting Point coordinators go to individuals in need, in their communities, and help them begin their journey toward growth and fulfillment.

Safe for them. Necessary for you.

In our experience we have found that it is important to strike a balance between personal time and time spent caring for others. For those caring for an adult with mental health challenges, we offer a safe and sensible way to take a break from the pressure and stress of your daily care routine. Respite Services will provide a temporary home for your loved one, with a qualified Access Services Host Family, capable of meeting all of his or her personal needs. If you require short-term respite from your caretaking routine, we also offer Hourly Respite and Support Partners. Access Services will send a trained caregiver or a similarly situated peer partner to look after your loved one for short intervals.
