WNEP Feature: Open Houses and Job Fairs

Access Services is one of the Schuylkill  County’s largest non-profit organizations. WNEP (channel 16 ) did a feature on our Open Houses and Job Fairs in Orwigsburg, Tamaqua and Lehighton! Linda Jones speaks about the Lifesharing and Wraparound program. Also, Sheila Davison speaks about her 11 year Lifesharing relationship with Laverne.

Access Services helps 15 year old find permanent home.

8 years ago, Access Services helped place Lucas in a home with foster parents Nancy & Dave Vanderbeek. Having finished raising their own children for a number of years, Nancy and Dave had planned on retiring – until they heard another family was interested in adopting Lucas.

“When we found that out,” says Nancy, “it was more assurance that Lucas needed to stay here.” Nancy & Dave adopted Lucas, providing him with a permanent home and a positive environment. Lucas said, “This is the place I’m meant to be. These are the folks I’ve always liked.”
