Residential Services

Community Living Arrangements (CLA) provide a nurturing home environment, offering up to 24-hour supervision to individuals with developmental disabilities. The focus of a CLA is to meet each person's physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Specific emphasis is placed on community participation and personal growth within the community.

Lifesharing (formerly known as Family Living) provides long-term support for children and adults with mental retardation in a stable and qualified host family home. People who receive Lifesharing services attend school, work and day programs. The host family receives continued support and guidance from Access Services. In turn, the host family shares in the team responsibility of helping the individual to become part of their family and the community in which they live.

Support Services

In-Home Supports are individually designed practical services that take place in the homes and/or communities of people with developmental disabilities. Our goal is to work with the individuals’ unique situations to provide support in setting and meeting personal goals; making their homes more accessible; helping with routine, daily care; and, helping them to become contributing and active members of their communities.

Respite is a service that provides short-term care to adults and children with disabilities in nurturing home environments. Respite is often used to stabilize a person who is in crisis, but may not need hospitalization. Respite also gives caregivers a much-needed relief from the daily routines that cause burnout and fatigue.

Community Supported Living (CSL) acts as a support to individuals living independently in the community. Staff members ensure the health, safety and community fellowship of the individuals, utilizing resources within the community.

Learning in Functional Environments (L.I.F.E.) offers an opportunity to individuals to volunteer in the community, developing skills that may eventually lead to paid employment.

Children's Services

Enhanced Behavioral Health Services (Wraparound) is a state-funded program that provides therapeutic interventions to children under the age of 21 who are experiencing emotional or behavioral problems. The program practices a family-centered philosophy and is based on the principle of "wrapping" services and supports around the specific needs of the children and their families. Individualized service is provided as a process of working with children and their families in their home communities.
